I read I think the first book, and then tried to read the second and I put it down after the first few pages. Becky just annoys me too much. I think as escapist fluffy chick-lit reading goes, there are many better options. I’ve read a couple of Sophie Kinsella’s other books (both under her name and her pen name, Madeleine Wickham) and they’re better (no super-frustrating main character). Jane Green is also good. The Devil Wears Prada may help satisfy your shopping "sweet tooth." Also, I’ve started really liking Maureen Johnson’s books lately. They’re technically young adult books, but have a much wider appeal than that, in my opinion.I’ll be very interested in what you have to say about the Tiger Mother book. BTW are you on GoodReads.com? Kinda fun place to trade book recs and reviews.
