After reading this post, then looking through the ingredients list of prepared frosting at the store, I was inspired to make my own buttercream frosting for Donovan’s birthday cake. Success! One thing I forgot to mention above is that you should sift the powdered sugar for the frosting BEFORE adding it to the mixer. I neglected to do so and had to employ my Photoshop skills to edit out a few little white lumps that appeared in my hot pink frosting. BTW, I am looking for a good chocolate frosting recipe if anyone has one… emergency cake request for tomorrow and I am on it!
