That lens is next on my wishlist. ; ) (though not sure the photography fairy will be bringing it to me anytime soon!). I love my primes but it’d be nice to have that same sharpness and narrow depth of field with a zoom. I’m considering renting it this summer when we go back to Texas to visit family (my go-to rental place is Borrow Lenses, also based in the bay).
Marcy, I checked out Borrow Lenses but didn’t like the hoops I had to go through to rent (plus the fact that I couldn’t do anything in under 24-48 hours). With Keeble + Shuckat, it was a quick phone call where I got to discuss the merits of different lenses with an expert (!). They jotted my name down in their reservation book. Totally old school but I really loved it. Their customer service is top notch!
