Look what arrived in today’s mail!

These beautiful, hand-stamped antique silver forks are made by my friend and client, Kerrie Balma, of WoodenHive. I met Kerrie on Etsy last year and had the privilege of designing her new website  – http://woodenhive.com/ – just in time for her upcoming announcement: starting in May, WoodenHive designs will be carried on BHLDN, Anthropologie’s newly launched wedding line!

I am so excited for her and especially happy I got my anniversary present request in hand before the big rush starts.

If you’ve got an upcoming bridal shower or anniversary, I highly encourage you to check out Kerrie’s beautiful designs. In addition to “Mr.” and “Mrs.” she does “Bride” and “Groom” – I already have one pre-ordered for one of the weddings we’re attending this year (that should start my engaged friends speculating!).

What do you think of my gift card holder idea this year?

I was putting together holiday gifts for a few staff members at my sons’ schools and decided to do something fun and organic. What could be more so than fresh, seasonal pears with gift cards to our favorite local fruit stand, C.J. Olson’s?

Add a bit of chic, French ribbon and “voila!” – a nice little gift. I just might do this year round!
