Adriana Hartley says… For the past two years, we’ve celebrated Thanksgiving at the Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church with a community dinner where everyone is invited to the table. Our special guests have been refugee families that we’ve been supporting as they resettle into their new lives in America. The refugee ministry helps these families to feel a sense of community. Here’s what I’m thinking… Please read through all the comments listed. Some of the non-profits may be new to you and I urge you to check them out (many have websites listed). Then, I’d like you to help me with a “10% pay it forward” effort. Ten percent of $250 is $25 – would you consider making a special donation of $25 this year to one of the charities that you did not nominate? Even a little bit means A LOT and would allow everyone to feel like a winner since their special cause will be benefitting, too.
