eureka!!! (pickalilly sauce)
I can hardly believe it… the pickalilly sauce looks, smells and TASTES just like the version made by my mom. So exciting!
I hosted a canning party last night with Becky J., Becky D. and Nina – thank you so much, ladies, for teaching me the canning process; your combined expertise was very much appreciated! One of the best parts was sitting around the table drinking wine and exchanging stories (while waiting for the lids to ‘swoosh’ in, which indicate a proper seal). Every lid sealed properly, thus… Eureka! (aka “there’s gold in those jars!”)

I’m sooo excited about the recipe!!! I need something to do with all my tomotoes. What are some of the things you do with the sauce?
Hi Calvina – I will definitely give you a jar to take home this weekend! Tate and I love it on scrambled eggs and/or toast. We were all brainstorming last night about other ways to serve it – over cream cheese with crackers was a great suggestion. Also, any place you want a cool, flavorful contrast (it’s not spicy, more sweet due to the cinnamon and brown sugar).
