10/2 Giveaway: Halloween Cookie Decorating Party
It’s the second day of October and that means…giveaway time! Every
month, from September 2009 to September 2010 we will have a special
giveaway/contest to celebrate the first year of dirtandsunshine.com.
This month’s giveaway is a Halloween Cookie Decorating Party and includes:
a custom designed invitation for your event (on 5″ orange round cards),
Halloween-themed cookie cutters, 2 vinyl tablecloths (black with candy
corns all over – one rectangle and one square), a large plastic
Halloween-themed pitcher, a large round Halloween-themed platter, napkins,
crazy skull drinking straws, tableware decorations, a 24-oz tin of caramel
popcorn (my sons the scouts are selling popcorn this month!), and any
other fun Halloween stuff I can find between now and the entry end date
(Friday, October 9th).
To enter, simply leave me a comment below. Please include your name and
email address so I may contact you if you are the lucky winner. The
giveaway will be open for exactly one week and will close at noon on
Friday, October 9th. A winner will be randomly drawn and notified that
afternoon.
Here’s hoping it’s your lucky week… thanks for entering!

You make me smile Kath, I am blessed to have you as a dear and special friend.
I’m enjoying your book and I think it’s great that you had the courage to write it! The contests are fun and I love supporting a fellow CC Parent!
Lovely blog… and you know how I feel about Halloween. Looking forward to the day that I can give my girls knives and say "go to it!" cackle, cackle, cackle.
Hey Kathy, I love your enthusiasm. My "kids" (16 and 20) are a little old for the prize, but if I win I’ll donate it to a young(er) mom!
Hi Kathy! Thanks so much for having these monthly giveaways! What a fabulous idea! We love Halloween decorations and are currently planning our annual Halloween Kids Party! Thanks for taking the time to write Dirt And Sunshine. It provides excellent advice and inspiration to parents!
Reading your blog inspires me to be creative. Thanks for helping me!
today, i was truly inspired. i am the art director for a new magazine and spent the day at a photo shoot that involved 4 amazing women…kathy being one of them. i realized that i’m not doing enough with my life.
Where can I find the recipe for the cookies pictured? They look wonderful. Thank you!
Hi Robin,That is actually a stock photo – I picked it because it was go gorgeous! I think you could do any type of pumpkin sugar cookie and then a little pepita seed for the stem. Sorry I can’t be of more help – my husband is the baker in our house!!
