Do you know what this means? I’m just a cheese thermometer and some rennet away from making my own chevre (!!!). In the cheesemaking class at Love Apple Farm, our instructor, Fiona, used a cast iron pot to make cheese and I’ve coveted one ever since. After borrowing my friend Shelley’s pot to make slow-braised short ribs, I was convinced it would be the most versatile piece of cookware to invest in. Hence, my rather large hint to Paul when we were at Santana Row last month. He’s a great husband, that way. He knows it’s better to fulfill a wish than anticipate a desire!
So, who wants to come to our house this summer for a little cheese and crackers?
