More Parisien food fun: I found the most incredible croissant this trip! Kathi and I trekked to Pierre Hermé for his legendary macarons and noticed this gorgeous specimen purely by accident (after perusing all the selections in the main counter, I turned around and encountered a few hidden gems against the wall). I was intrigued by the description of raspberry jam blended with rose paste and we decided to split one. The combination was heavenly; the sweet and floral notes blended together perfectly and the exterior had a slight sugary crunch that made it feel more dessert-like than breakfast-ish.
